The Power of a Pause: When Inconvenience Feels Like Injustice
There’s a place we sometimes slip into during uncomfortable moments. It’s not hard. Just inconvenient. And the strange thing? Life isn’t falling apart. We still have a home, people who love us, food on the table, and work to do. Yet all we can see is what’s irritating, delayed, or not going our way.
It doesn’t happen all at once. Small disappointments pile up. Minor inconveniences start to feel personal. Before long, gratitude goes quiet and complaint takes over.
But pause for a moment, just long enough to be honest, and the story shifts. You may not like where you are, but even here, there’s evidence of good. Quiet provisions you’ve stopped noticing. Strength you didn’t earn but somehow have. People who showed up when they didn’t have to. Peace that held when circumstances didn’t improve.
These things remind us of how much we actually have, and how easily comfort can make us blind.
So, here’s the question: will you pause long enough to notice? Sometimes it only takes a few minutes to turn complaint into celebration. And sometimes, that pause changes everything.
Here’s to always seeing the good in life!
