“Your Calendar Reflects What You Value—Does It Include You?”
Too busy for exercise, healthy meals, or even a few quiet moments to yourself? Many of us lead busy lives, but the cost is higher than many realize.
When self-care consistently takes a back seat, the effects don’t just show up in fatigue or irritability. They show up in your body. How? Through high blood pressure, chronic stress, burnout, and even life-threatening events like stress-induced strokes and heart issues. Neglecting your well-being isn’t just unsustainable, it’s dangerous.
One habit I live by, and one I encourage, is this: schedule your self-care like your life depends on it…. because it just might. Add it to your calendar like you do meetings or doctor’s appointments. Block off time for movement, quiet reflection, or simply sleep. Then, honor those appointments as non-negotiable.
Whether it’s a brisk walk, dancing to your favorite song, making a wholesome meal, or shutting down your devices early to rest—these moments aren’t indulgences. They’re survival strategies.
Protect your health. Prioritize yourself. Your body and mind are counting on you.
