Going Nowhere Fast? That’s often exactly what happens when we’re in a rush. I’m reminded of my own past whenever I see drivers speeding down the highway, swerving through traffic, barely pausing at red lights, taking off the moment they turn green. On occasion, I engaged in such behavior. I once believed my destination was so important that it justified reckless driving. It earned me a speeding ticket.
The truth is, unless there’s a natural disaster, your destination will still be there when you arrive. And if it’s not? It probably didn’t matter as much as you thought.
Take it slow!
Rushing often leads to mistakes, stress, or getting nowhere at all. Wake up early enough to give yourself breathing room. And when the unexpected shows up, as it often does: pause, breathe, and assess the situation before moving forward. Sometimes, slowing down is the fastest way to get where you’re meant to go.
Here’s to getting there safely!
