“Your Calendar Reflects What You Value—Does It Include You?”
Too busy for exercise, healthy meals, or even a few quiet moments to yourself? You’re not alone, but the cost of being too busy is higher than most of us realize.
When self-care consistently takes a back seat, the effects don’t just show up in fatigue or irritability. They show up in your body. How? Through skin outbreaks, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, burnout, and even life-threatening events like stress-induced strokes and heart issues. Neglecting your well-being isn’t just unsustainable, it’s dangerous.
One habit I live by, and one I often encourage, is this: schedule your self-care like your life depends on it…. because it just might. Add it to your calendar like you would a meeting or doctor’s appointment. Block off time for movement, meal prep, quiet reflection, and rest. Then, honor those appointments as non-negotiable.
Whether it’s a brisk walk, dancing in your living room to your favorite song, making a wholesome meal, or shutting down your devices early to sleep—these moments aren’t indulgences. They’re survival strategies.
Protect your health. Prioritize yourself. Your body and mind are counting on you.
