Temporary Fixes vs. True Healing: Why Numbing the Pain Isn’t Enough”
There are endless ways to escape pain, and so many quick fixes that promise relief from sorrow, loss, or hardship. But here’s the problem: when the effect wears off, the pain is still waiting. The wound is still open. Nothing changes until you face it.
It’s not easy to confront reality, but it’s necessary. Find a safe space. Be honest with yourself. Name what you’re feeling. Cry if you need to. Shout if you must, But don’t bury your emotions, because what you bury alive will always find a way to resurface.
Your emotions are not weaknesses to hide, they are signals. They point you toward healing, growth, and truth. When you suppress them, you silence the compass meant to guide you.
Don’t settle for numbing the pain. Go after true healing. Because masking may cover the wound, but only honesty allows it to finally close.
