“Your Calendar Reflects What You Value—Does It Include You?”

Too busy for exercise, healthy meals, or even a few quiet moments to yourself? You’re not alone! Many of us lead busy lives, but the cost is higher than many realize.

When self-care consistently takes a back seat, the effects don’t just show up in fatigue or irritability. They show up in your body. How? Through high blood pressure, chronic stress, burnout, and even life-threatening events like stress-induced strokes and heart issues. Neglecting your well-being isn’t just unsustainable, it’s dangerous.

One habit I live by, and one I encourage, is this: schedule your self-care like your life depends on it…. because it just might. Add it to your calendar like you would a meeting or doctor’s appointment. Block off time for movement, meal prep, quiet reflection, or simply sleep. Then, honor those appointments.

Whether it’s a brisk walk, dancing in your living room to your favorite song, making a wholesome meal, or shutting down your devices early to rest, these aren’t moments of indulgence. They’re survival strategies. Protect your health. Prioritize yourself.

Take care of yourself, on purpose!
